Which movie was it?

I read this and "World War Z" came to mind. I was having a very bad migraine when I watched that movie so I can't say I understood most of the scenes. But I think I got the gist.
Did I? Is it making yourself weak (with some form of disease) so the zombie virus wouldn't attack and eat you?
Well if that ain't the plot I guess I should stop watching movies when I have a migraine.
